A Private, Curated Plant Medicine Experience

A small, carefully held ayahuasca retreat in southern Spain, centred on deep healing, clarity, and reconnection through sacred plant medicine.

Set in the Andalusian mountains, this retreat offers a protected, grounded space to step away from daily life and engage fully in the ayahuasca process, before, during, and after ceremony.

Every element, the setting, the group size, the preparation, the daily rhythm, and the integration practices exists to support the ceremonial arc of the medicine.

Guests arrive seeking clarity, healing, and meaningful change, and are met with experience, presence, and respect.

The Profound Healing Power of Ayahuasca

Ayahuasca is a sacred Amazonian plant medicine that has been used for centuries for healing, insight, and spiritual connection.

During ceremony, ayahuasca often brings awareness to emotional patterns, unresolved experiences, and inner truths that may be difficult to access through ordinary consciousness. This can include vivid imagery, physical sensations, emotional release, or deep states of insight experienced through both mind and body.

Beyond the visionary aspects, the medicine also works on a neurological and emotional level. The MAO-inhibiting properties play a role in mood regulation, while the overall experience supports release, clarity, and a renewed sense of direction.

This work is approached with seriousness, care, and reverence – without spectacle.

The Ceremonies

Over the course of the retreat, you will participate in:

  • Two ayahuasca ceremonies, held in the evenings

  • One psilocybin (magic mushroom) ceremony on the final full day, supporting integration and grounding

Ceremonies are held lying down, inward-focused, and guided with care. After the initial dose, a second serving may be offered to those who feel called to go deeper.

Experiences vary widely – there is no “right” way to journey beyond surrendering to the process. Physical purging such as nausea or vomiting can occur and is considered part of the cleansing process.

The group remains inward until the ceremony closes, after which light nourishment is shared and rest follows.

The retreat follows a clear, supportive rhythm designed around the ceremonies.

Before Ceremony

Time to arrive, settle, prepare the body and nervous system

During Ceremony

Attentive, grounded guidance with a focus on safety and surrender

After
Ceremony

Space for rest, reflection, integration, and gentle processing

Rather than treating ayahuasca as a single event,
the retreat allows the work to unfold over several daysso insight can land and stabilise.

The Setting

The Andalusian Mountains

The retreat takes place in a secluded mountain location in Andalusia, surrounded by nature.

Guests have access to open land, mountain views, and a nearby waterfall where it is possible to swim, meditate, or sit quietly. The environment offers both containment and openness – a sense of protection alongside space to breathe.

The accommodation is comfortable, simple, and chosen to support rest.

Group & Shared Space

A Supportive, Like-Minded Group

The retreat is intentionally small.

Sharing space with others on a similar path often makes it easier to let go of emotional weight and feel supported – not through pressure or disclosure, but through shared presence.

There is no obligation to speak or perform. Privacy, respect, and discretion are understood as part of the space.

Daytime Support Practices

Supporting the Medicine

Optional daytime activities are offered to gently support the ceremonial work, including:

  • Yoga

  • Breathwork

  • Sound healing

  • Artistic expression

  • Hiking and nature walks

  • Swimming in the river

These practices are not distractions from the medicine, but complements, helping the body move, emotions settle, and insights integrate.

Rest is always welcome.

Nourishment & Dietary Preparation

The complete circle

Working with ayahuasca requires care in how the body is prepared and supported.

For safety reasons, participants follow a plant-based diet free from tyramines, compounds found in fermented and certain processed foods. This preparation supports both physical safety and clarity during ceremony.

During the retreat, our host Frank prepares nourishing vegan meals designed to support the ayahuasca process and help guests feel grounded and cared for.

A detailed dietary guide is provided in advance, including food guidance and travel tips. Participants are asked to follow this diet for at least one week prior to arrival.

This is not a restriction, it is part of the ceremony.

Can I do this id I have no experience with Psychedelics

Sure! I had never done any psychedelics before I did Ayahuasca.

Welcome, traveler!

It’s not like you open your eyes and see leprechauns dancing around, it’s more like you can see the breath of the universe, and when you close your eyes you may have visions. You are very sensitive to music, and your feelings will be intense. You will feel very connected to nature, yourself, everyone you’ve ever loved, society, the world, whatever your spirit connects with.

Ayahuasca is medicine, and as such it does have some real contraindications and things that you must avoid.

The MAO inhibitor tea can cause heart palpitations when taken with tyramines, compounds found in fermented foods. This is why it is important that you respect the special diet for a week before the retreat.

You can read about MAO inhibitors and the diet they require here on the Mayo Clinic’s website.

The hardest part is caffeine, which can cause gnarly migraines when you detox from it. Believe me, I know. I now mostly drink decaf!

We will provide you with clear guidelines for your diet and tools for how to travel while respecting the diet after you register.

MAO inhibitors also have dangerous interactions with SSRIs, so you cannot take Ayahuasca when you are currently taking SSRI antidepressants.

If you have questions about medications and interactions, talk to Sophia and ask your hopefully open minded doctor.

There is no good evidence that psychedelics have adverse effects. Feel free to research for yourself, we love Michael Pollan’s book and Netflix series How to Change Your Mind.

There is no such thing as a bad trip if your intention is to heal and you are being guided in safety. All of us will go to dark places during our journey, it’s wise to step into the shadows and see what reveals itself to you.

This is the most profound advice that I can give to any psychedelic traveler. Open the door and step through into the darkness if that is where you are led!

In psychedelic circles we refer to “Set and Setting” as being the most important factors that impact the quality of your experience. Set is your mindset, ie what your intention is and your openness to your experience, and setting is the place and atmosphere.

We will ensure the setting is sacred and safe, in the Yurt of the Villa in a cozy sleeping bag under the stars. Your mindset is up to you, avoiding a “bad trip” should not be your goal.

You may vomit, and will likely feel nauseous at some point. We will provide everyone with buckets and paper towels.

You will be escorted to the bathroom if and when you need it by either Sophia or Esther.

While you are in your psychedelic journey you are still capable of basic functions such as going to the toilet.
